Does anyone know who to get Iceland dale to work on W2K. I just got it and it gives me a "runtime error - abnormal error" I have installed the latest patch 106 i think.

I also use win2k, much better than win98. Icewind Dale runs fine on my system. Do you have SP1 installed? When does IWD crash on you, as you load, in-game?

Right after the second the intro movie is over. The Dragon one. Yes SP1 is installed.

very odd, check and make sure all you other hardware is running with the latest win2k drivers. specifically, you video card drivers. What card do you have? IWD is running fine on my system, as do all games based on the Infinity engine

Dou you have the IWD 1.06 patch installed? also goto the iwd config icon in the prog menu and make sure the open gl is unchecked.

Check your video settings. That can make it run crappy sometimes. Especially if you're using the "unsupported" settings or 3D acceleration.
