I played Diablo 2 through in both normal and nightmare difficulties. It was a lote of fun, at first, then it got boring. Eager for some more RPG games to hold me over until BG2, I picked up a copy of IceWind Dale. Now, I wish I had never bought Diablo 2. Now that I think about it, the best thing about D2 were the cinematics. IWD is much more strategic and challenging because you have to think about more than 'this sword or that shield' an 'this spell or that spell'
I prefer IWD over D2, anyone care to comment?

Baldurs Gate 2 is out and is looking great,so no IWD 4 me http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/cool.gif

BG2 is also an awesome game. I have it myself, but I bought IWD prior to BG2 because I was starved for some good RPGs. I fought IWD to be very fun and challenging, much more so than D2. BG2 is an awesome game that puts both to shame, however.
