Freespace 3?

I played both Freespace 1 and 2 and thought that both games were great, not only was the gameplay great, the store line was very interesting. When, if ever will we see Freespace 3? Any feedback would appreciated.

Might be a while before we see a freespace3, volition are working on red faction right now, and that game will kick some major ***, it was designed to be a new descent, but they decided to make it first person shooter ! http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif
