I think BGII is a great game. I don't have anything bad to say about it (even though the graphics may be a little dated, especially the characters), but the attacks look terrible.
What I am trying to say is how can you slash/cut like 50 times and hit absolutely '****'. This happens all the time. Wats with it? It looks kinda corny when 6 people can't even kill a goblin after 10 turns. They are simply hitting air.
Also:
All the males have like asquare face and a piece of pancake hair, the chicks have icecream hair...looks kinda funny doesn't it http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Your characters have a low dexterity rating. All my RPG character have fairly high dexterity and hit constantly. My BG2 character has a dexterity of 18, at least before Irenicus . . . nevermind, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you.

I've never had a problem hitting anyone ethier cept maybe the high level monsters.
Graphics could have been better but its still one of my fav games this year. and you can change the colors of the hair etc etc if you want.

Don't forget that not all of your visual attacks are actual attacks, some are just for show and aren't counted (apparently this makes it more entertaining http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/wink.gif)

What does this button do?
Dexterity affects ranged weapons thac0, strength affects melee weapon thac0. Bump up your strength and dexterity. The combined score of your main characters attributes should be no less than 90, and strength should be very high, for hauling stuff around.(/6=15 as average)
Keep throwing the dice. Remember to choose weapon picks that suit your characters weapon. And mages can't hit ****. Use spells like magic missile.

Have you ever thought about what that "AC" thing does? The lower it is, the more difficult is to be hit by a monster. This means that you can AVOID the hits and the monster can do the same thing. Can you imagine what would happen if EVERY hit would find its target? In about a minute all your characters would be slained. The hits that don't find their target are averted by your shield or they are simply avoided.

I may be wrong, but when you don't see your character hit it may be because the graphics attack more frequently than your character is actually able to. I notice many more swings visually than actual attack rolls that appear across the bottom of the screen.
