Will "Dark Forces 3: Obiwan" be worth our time?

After a crappy game like Force Commander, and a crappy movie like The Phantom Menace, will Lucas Arts screw this up too, or will it be just as good, if not better than the other two Dark Forces games? And for all the Doom,Quake,& Dark Forces veterans, will Obiwan be a "1st person shooter," or will it be a third person "action" game with awkward camera angles and a nausiating plot to deal with?

LordZordec - I think, if they stick to what made Jedi Knight the legendary game it was, then YES - it will rock!

Old school Star Wars fans like myself will have a harder time getting into the feel of the environment, but I am looking forward to it.

I wouldn't be too sure bout that. Episode I was BS for little kids, so was the game.
The last output of the X wing series also was silly and boring.
Next thing is, that Kyle Kartarn (was that the name?) isn't in the game.
So let's sit 'n hope...

I dunno. I have a feeling it's going to be a 'Jedi Knight' in a different environment. Propably with more Lightsabre combat.

And really, How much personality did Kyle have? All it was was crappy FMV's. I think Obe-Wan has much more character potential.

Yeah, the acting in Jedi Knight was kinda... well just plain old Jolly Green Giant Corny! I skipped the cut-scenes...who needs a plot anyway. The plot of the game was shoot, kill, or be killed like any other shooter...

Obi Wan is actually looking pretty cool. The team is more than aware of their recent few crap games and really wants to make this a success. The combat system sounds rather unique and cool - basically it'll be varied enough that you won't get bored just having one weapon i.e. the light saber. I don't know if any of the Jedi Knight team are on it, but either way I think it'll be good. Then again, there was a time when everyone was looking forward to Daikatana. ;)
