Counter-Strike the online game-Will retail selling kill it?

Let me hear your thoughts on the subject. Those of you that play it.

I dont really think this will kill it. I am really not sure what to think about it though, could be good having a larg influx of newbies. Guess we will just have to see.

I am looking forward to the large influx of newbies!! It's getting so that everyone knows the best strategies for each map and the people who actualy work in teams can really do well. I miss the times when everyone would do their own thing be easy pickings.

See, I like the oposite. I like it when everyone knows the strategies becuase it makes it more difficult and also a lot more fun. Picking off newbies is fun, but would get rather boring after awhile. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

ur either a newbie or a newbie killer in CS... i know so many guys that have been playing since Beta3, and they always go into newbie-only servers, 'incognito' just to thrash on guys who dont even know how to buy weapons... its kinda funny for the first 10 minutes, but then its like playing against the alpha bots available for CS.

as for whether or not it will die out, i dont think so... but with the release of the retail version, i dont think well see too many more drastic changes to the game... i guess i cant wait to see what Gooseman and Cliffe come up with next... hope they stay in the mod community.
