Quake 4 is supposed to use the Doom3 graphics engine, so you may need a Geforce 3 or equivilant to play with everything at it's maximum.
The game is may come out before Doom 3, it just depends on when they finish the Engine. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't think they will release Quake 4 before Doom. I think they want to use DOOM to show off the new engine. A buddy of mine got to see the demo (or showing) of it at Quakecon and he said he was really suprised by how well the game looked. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif (doom that is)

Yeah definitally not before Doom III which I hear has a around a mid-2002 release. I am guessing around mid-2003. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is scheduled for Dec-2001.

I heard somewhere min. req. would be like 650MHZ PIII 128MB RAM and GeForce256 32MB

i doubt it will be that high. q3 TA is like a 300mhz and 8 or 16mb graphic card. it will probably want 400mhz and 16mb graphic card at least.
