What's wrong with this game? Have you seen the screenshots? How are they possibly going to pull that of? It's impossible to play the game with that kind of graphics online with thousands of other players. They said that they intented that the game would run on a low- end system by the middle of 2002. Not with that kind of graphics, but anyway. If they pull of this, I will be in heaven. If not, I would still be in heaven, since this game is going to be something special.

I can't wait to become a Dark Jedi...

I must admit, this game looks very promising and besides, it's set in the Star Wars universe http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

About the graphics/system requirements, I'm not sure, but it certainly looks like you're going to need one serious High End computer to enjoy this game!

I think a High end system will be the minimum to run this game, and I don't want to think about what you need to enjoy the game. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/wink.gif

Remember this game is probably a year or two from completion, a highend system now will be a lowend system by the time it's actually released.

Really the lvl of graphics have no effect on MMORPG games. The number of objects needing to be tracked and stuff moving do though. This is why when you play EQ and are on a raid the game can slow down to a virtual crawl no matter how uber your system is. There is just too many toons/actions/effects going off that it slows down from all the data having to be sent and recieved from the server.

The only thing which worries me about Galaxies is that it's being made by Verant. As an ex-EQ player, that makes me seriously wonder about game balance, etc. I'll wait and see before I get excited.

But, Verant is the biggest company in this biz, so it might not be that bad afterall.
