Slow Busrate

I've just bought a new computer (to upgrade from a oldie). It's a Duron 700 with the Abit KT7 motherboard, and the ASUS V6800 GeForce256 DDR videocard.
Now ofcourse I was anxious to see how fast it was, so I runned the Final Reality Benchmark. When I compared it to a fellow student's computer I was very disappointed. He had a Athlon 600 with the Diamond Viper II videocard. He had a FASTER!!! computer.
The busrate was about half of his while I run AGP 4x and he AGP 2x. Has anyone any idea how i can solve this?

A couple of possibilities are that Final Reality is running into some sort of lag on your computer. Try a different benchmark. The second could be that a key setting is disabled on your computer. Try to get a diagnostic to see what features are enabled or disabled on your video card. Other than that, try listing this topic under the other forums with actual scores and see if anyone there has an idea. Good luck.
