I was wondering what would happen if I put a Intel PIII 800/E processor with a 133FSB in my Asus P3B-F board? Would it just run at 100Mhz that is the board supports or would it fail to work at all?
The reason is I plant to upgrade to the CUSL2 Asus 815E board but would like to get the processor first and use it until I upgrade. The other problem I have is I currently have 128 meg of pc100 sdram and I can't decide if I should wait and get 256 meg of pc133 or just get another 128 meg of pc100 and use that.
Any suggestions thanks!!!!

Most good BX boards, such as Asus, not sure about yours, but most, support running at 133Mhz FSB, so the CPU would work exactly as it was designed to. That does mean overclocking the AGP bus, but that generally causes no problems.
