yes, man, I have heard of file attributes. I checked. Read-only wasnt checked. It prolly has to do with settings made in MSVC itself.

Go into DOS open EDIT open your file. Edit it. “save as” a file name of your choice. (Not the original filename.) Go back into Windows. Change the name of the original file. Change the name of your edited file to the original filename.

Major Danby replied indugently with a superior smile: 'But, Yossarian, suppose everyone felt that way.'
'Then,' said Yossarian, 'I'd certainly be a damned fool to feel any othe way wouldn't I?'

I wish DOS could stay around forever! Much better than that windows program everyone is using.

Why Drink and Drive when you can Smoke and Fly?
I dont think you have to pay for it. you can download it, its free to MOD authors... unless you are talking about the actual graphics engine then yes, you have to pay for it.

We're talking about 2 different things here, the q3a GAME source is available for download and free. This is for mod authors. The full source code, for game developers, including the rendering engine code and things like that is around $350k plus 8% of whatever your game sells.

thats what I was talking about. I downloaded the Quake 2 source way back then and it was rather interesting. I wouldnt want to even dare to look at the engine code. http://www.sharkyforums.com/ubb/smile.gif
