Does anyone have experience with multi linking modems in windows. I am able to get to the point where I connect at 97kbps. Then win2k pro tells me the domain says my password and username are incorrect and kicks my second modem off. Sounds like the ISP is at fualt, but they do not provide tech support for multilink. Any ideas?

Yeah, I had a multilink Diamond Shotgun modem setup for a while to test. The tech rep at the ISP I used here in Pittsburgh told me the reason more ISP's don't support multilink modem connections is that it's *really, really* unstable. I was able to connect in the high 90's to around 100Kbps only about 35% of the time. Usually, it just wouldn't work. I used the first version of 98, also.

It sounds like your problem is your ISP isn't set up correctly, tho. I dunno...

well one of the problems is that the isp might not suppourt 2 usernames logged on at the same time.. When i tried that, It wouldnt even let the 2nd modem connect at all.

I have been dual modeming now for while with no problems. Diamonds shotgun software requires that you connect to the same isp twice, and have a static ip adresss. This did not suit my needs. I have access to 2 different isps ( I pay for neither ) I use Mid-Point Teamer software. It lets you split any data up on 2 different ip adresses, and combine it before it goes to your browser.
Ive never experienced a stability problem.
