Doom 3 will probably have more of a better storyline then most other id games but Quake IV is going to visually r0x0r j0r b0x0rs since it is using an enhanced version of the Doom III engine :D.

Okay, this is 100% my opinion. With WC3 being released first, I feel that Microsoft has once again found a way to ripoff from Blizzard with AOM. Just the way the demos and the game plays out, it's too eerily familiar (want a side of ripoff anyone?). It actually feels a lot like the first Age of Empires, which IMO is a step backwards (you'll know what I'm talking about when you play it). WC3 is more polished graphics/performance-wise (you can run it on a slow rig, and it's still playable). All I can say is, if you like AOM, you'll like WC3 that much more. Oh, I have the first two Age of Empires games, and I'm basing my opinion on the AOM demo (which I'll probably end up getting anyway, the more the games the merrier :D ). And I'm comparing it to the full version of WC3.

It is being based around single player, but it will have a broadband only multiplayer section. I think all games made with Doom 3's engine will be broadband. You can't send data fast enough on a real time basis on a 56k modem. Also you don't know how Quake 4 will look, all that's been released so far is a concept sketch of a character for the game and that's it. It might just be the standard Doom 3 engine with new models etc etc

there are other GC games I'm looking forward to, sure, like Wind Waker and Lost Kingdoms II, but I think Viewtiful Joe is the one that pushed me into buyin a cube (I actually got a pretty good deal on a cube modded to play imports, came with Ikaruga and Wind Waker imports, haven't played it yet though because I'm addicted to No One Lives Forever 2).

I'm also real excited about Tron 2.0, Monolith rules, they made the NOLF games and Aliens versus Predator 2, I'm not sure if they made AVP 1 or not for some reason.

Dark Cloud 2 looks really good too, but I'm not sure if that counts as a game I'm waiting for since it has been released already.

I really hope this game turns out good, because it has a TON of potential, aside from the fact that Verant is always adding new areas and other content via free downloads and expansion packs. For the people worried about lag/pings, my friend from work got me to play EQ for a while, (I did not really like it, but you know..). I had gone on many, many raids with large numbers of people, up to 70 at some times and even on 56k, (we don't have broadband here yet, we are hicks), there was hardly any lag at all. I am being an optomist here and saying that with broadband, and Verant's experience gained from EQ and such, they should be able to make it very playable. Enough rambling, I am off to bed.

Don't get your hopes up. I played EQ for about 2 years, and I look back on it and it really sucked. It took Verant like 4 years to get EQ where it is today and it still has plenty of bugs, or "features" as most EQ players call them. Anyways, I quit that game it bored me. I'm on the look out for a new one, probably gonna be Shadow Bane or StarWars Galaxies. I just don't have that much respect for Verant becuase with every patch came new bugs that screwed people over, it was horrible considering I played on a PvP server.
