You should have added a Maybe option :p because it all depends alot on the price. I wont pay $20 for a game that is based off the Quake I engine. :)

It's not. Valve canned the Quake engine and developed their own. That's why it was so late.

its built off of quake 1, heavily modified to be sure but still quake 1

I might get it...depends....I voted yes...because it'll probably be pretty cool....as long as there aren't many cheaters...and if it's contains the core of counter-strike...it'll be pretty good...

Not for awhile...probably Aprilish. CS 1.4 (Final not beta) and HL 1.1.0.9 patches still need to come out. They are do out 2-3 weeks before CS:CZ ships.

Well i checked ebgames.com and I know they are not the most accurate with release dates. EB says condition zero is to be released in August. It cant be that far off can it?
I had heard earlier that it was to be released in april as well but havent really heard anything about it in a while. If it is august then its gonna be a while. Got a snickers bar?

No shyt! August now! Last time I heard was it was originally scheduled for March then got pushed back until April...but August omg I am definitally not going to play or buy this game at all! Hell Unreal Tournament 2 comes out in June which is 2 months before it and UT2 has only been in the making for about 1 1/2 years and was built ground up unlike the year it took CS:CZ and it was built off something.

FIrst of all dont expect a new engine from valve till TF2 and HL2 are out.
HL 2 itself Im speculating will probably use THE TF2 engine.
So CS:CZ will be using same old HL engine but who cares its the new models and **** that got me hyped for it,basicaly it will bring CS to a new level.
Cant wait for those molotov cocktails and gas grens

I read in some old old old arse PCGamer magazine (I still have it) that the Counter-Strike 2 and Half-Life 2 Engine will in fact be the TF2 one but more advanced since they will be released much much later then TF2.
BTW I almost for got about the molotov cocktails and the choking gas gernades! Those will be pretty sweet. Heard they are going to clean up some lag issues with the gernades aswell.

Whoa, I just found out that the new things in CS:CZ will be free for download.
The only thing the d/l can't get is the new graphics and single player.
You still get to buy riot shilds, rocket launchers and the maps!
