This game poses a real dilemma for me. I want the game, it looks like the best thing since sliced Jihad bread. But I'd probably agree with some of the people who want to ban it. I lean toward banning parents who whould buy this game for their 10 year old children - Just makes me wanna go postal on them.

It makes me sick to think that anyone would make a game like this, and makes me almost puke at the thought that people would like to play a game like this. A game where you go around as a phycopath and kill inocent people, like my god, look at those screen shots. To me it just dosnt seem moraly normal.
With games like this they should make games where you take the role of a rapist and run around and rape women and kill them for extra points. Or as a terrorist and you give people anthrax and brainwash 13 year olds to do suicide bombings. Sounds fun to me.

I do play violent games, but I do not agree with some of the bs that goes on in them. I play Q3 from time to time, I find it depressing with all the satanic pentegrams and crap. I also play Rune, where you brutaly hack and slash your aponent to death with melee weapons. I also play Tribes, not a very violent game besides the point that you just kill the opposing team.
But to me, a game where you Murder helpless peoples, old ladies, and children, I say thats a bit too far for a game. it seems now a day that games can be anything and involve anything. I see people that want sex in thier games.
The thing I tryed to point out is the moral of this game. And the fact that I saw my friends little brother (8 years old) looking at this game, and wanting to play it. He will probbly get this game when it does come out.....it just makes me feel bad. He can go buy this game and sit and play it, but yet cannot get a +14A movie. seem a bit stupid to you? Does to me.

ahhh.. the chance to lose my self in illusion.. and take my petty frustrations on imaginative things...
that is the prob with games.. most people miss the key word GAMES .
If people had their way .. we should ban, hockey, football, lacrosse, rugby, hopscotch... these all deter from lifes stress.
Yet, all time most people get lost in the melodrama of the game and forget it is a game.
They chose to live the game in the here and now as opposed to the fantasy realm.
These people can be our friends, family, pets, and neighbours.

When I play a game that involves killings or driving at 180MPH in a BMW, I do it for one reason only... I can't do it in real life. It's cool to know you can kill someone in a virtual world and not have to go to jail for it. I mean, that's why they have prisons and legal systems, because too many people would just do whatever the heck they wanted and not care... so since we have laws against murder, I'll just kill my friends in virtual land.

Ehhh I agree 50/50 on this one. I mean the point is valid and in most games you kill the "bad guys" and since this is the only game (besides GTA3) that I know of that you can kill innocent people this is bound to have a controversial effect.

If you dont like it, dont play it. As for telling people they are going to hell,if brainwashed people can choose what the content of the media I choose to watch contains, thats hell to me. Dont push your religous propoganda here. Until you can prove it exists, dont push it on other people. I find that very offensive. The only way you go to far is, if you accept what you are doing in a game as being real. Like I said if you are not mentally strong enough to not know imaginary from real, play solitaire. I have a sick sense of humor, and games like this TOTALLY appeal to me. I hope they get much worse. But, I'm also a sane person who realizes the difference between reality and make-believe.

I played that game so my times as the Hero goody two shoes that I finally deceided I was going to try to kill every living creature in the game (except Dogmeat he's 2 :cool: ) Women, Children, Old people, young people, the guys and girls who would normally go with you, Mutants, Ghouls, Dogs, two headed cows, robots...everything that got in my way I killed using a minigun a flamethrower a rifle a shotgun a spear a grenade a laser a plasma gun a chainsaw a knife a rock, brass knukles, brass knukles with spikes, a powerfist a rocket launcher a deagle a cattle prod and a laser minigun...get my drift?
And you know what?
IT WAS A BLAST!!
I would walk into towns and would automatically be attacked by the police... I had bounty hunters looking for me...
and I made it through the whole game intill I tried to take out the brotherhood of steel :eek: They always ended handing me my *** on a plate :p ( I joined first to get the power armour and then went and attacked the head paladin in his office...I was finally cut in half by a laser minigun weilding knight after taking most of the brotherhood out.
An I a sick bastard for lighting pixels made to look like a kid on fire with a flamethrower made out of pixels? Maybe I don't know.
Have I ever hurt a child in real life? only my daugther's butt when she lies or mouths off. Would I ever really hurt a child or kill one? No.
So give me a break about the horrible games :rolleyes: Sure this game is in VERY BAD TASTE..but no one has the right to tell me I can not buy it if I want too...I am over 30.

I played that game so my times as the Hero goody two shoes that I finally deceided I was going to try to kill every living creature in the game (except Dogmeat he's 2 :cool: ) Women, Children, Old people, young people, the guys and girls who would normally go with you, Mutants, Ghouls, Dogs, two headed cows, robots...everything that got in my way I killed using a minigun a flamethrower a rifle a shotgun a spear a grenade a laser a plasma gun a chainsaw a knife a rock, brass knukles, brass knukles with spikes, a powerfist a rocket launcher a deagle a cattle prod and a laser minigun...get my drift?
And you know what?
IT WAS A BLAST!!

Yes it is a RPG but without the sword and dragons.
Made by Interplay it was a GOTY and worth playing over and over for the many different ways you could build your character. Handsdown my all time favorite game.

And the best thing is it works well with XP (2000 Fallout 1 runs but you have to do a work around...) and its now only $9.95 for both Fallout 1 and 2 ( Fallout 2 works with every MS OS well)
Hell I paid full price for both when they came out and don't regret a dime :D!
