How is JK2's multiplayer?

I probably will buy Jedi Knight 2, but I'm just curious. Has anyone heard anything about its multiplayer/mods? I need a more up to date team based shooter (eg: counter strike) for online play. I don't play single player much. I heard Ghost Recon multiplayer is pretty good.. duno since I never saw any reviews on it except Gamespots (they gave GR a 7)

Dont listen to GameSpot the guy doesn't know how to review worth a crap expecially the guy that did it he clearly compared it to Operation Flashpoint in which NEITEHR are the same beside the fact they are outdoors and a FPS. The guy is a retard dont trust your reviews nor pay any attention to Gamespots they keep digging thereself a bigger hole with haters. They are a good souce for info and pics though just there reviews stink.

Anyways try doing a search via VoodooExtreme.com's search engine and look for older previews/interviews with Raven devs. It seems to be like Team Fortress style gameplay but hella tweaked in a good way. Just think lightsabers for your meele weapon :D! Not to mention a sweet arse tweak adding "The Force" which is going to seriously r0x0r j0r b0x0rz off any game out there or currently in development. If they can pull that off which from the pics and sounds of it they will do with ease then this will be the next new thing to be impleted in future games..."Special Powers".

Ohh btw it also supports 2-4x as many players online then TFC so its going to be huge and massive maps aswell. Just think 32-64+ people per server with no lag problems playing as your favorite Star Wars character...GOTY? I think its aiming to be that.

The multiplayer is AWESOME. First off, each side, dark and light have different force powers. Light's powers suck IMO, theres healing (which heals 10 points), absorb, and a few others. Dark is where its at, you get grip, lightening, and others. Dark defienlty has the leg up. The game uses the quake3 engine well, almost no lag, and as for the fighting, great. The lightsabers look spectacular, and because they can deflect bullets, this leads to lots of strategy. Such as, shoot him with gun, he deflects with saber, take out rocket launcher, and watch him deflect that :D You also get to challenge people, you challenge someone, they accept, and its on. There's nothing better than the swift kill by your light saber. :D :D :cool: :) :D

Just think the good and bad guys powers :). The jedi's foresay being the good guys while storm troopers, etc being bad. There are dozens of characters for each side if I remember correctly which will add alot to the fun factor. I hate walking around with someone that looks like youself lol.

Multiplayer is awesome!! Be forewarned though using a light sabre and force powers requires some skill and practice. It isn't your average run and gun type game. The sabre action really makes this a revolutionary concept in the FPS genre. Some people like it and some don't. It requires a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it and you get your first kill you'll be hooked!!

Sweet sounds awesome! Desert Crisis is similar but still way to Run and Gun...it has 4 meelee weapons and are just evil when they slam into your body. One such as the Hammer literally bashes you into the ground its so awesome seeing and scary as hell when your near him.

Well like any game that involves deathmatch.
Sux.
But teamplay on the other hand is pretty cool.
But this game has about 6 diferent MP gameplay modes and luckily only 2 are deathmatch and I try to stay away from.
The others are fun.
One thats really original is Jedi master and theres a light saber thrown somewhere on map.
And everyone has to find it whoever gets it becomes a jedi master with all rank 3 force powers,the rest of the guys have to try to kill him to take the lightsaber.And they only have guns.
BUT the lightsaber carrier can only use the lightsaber and forcepowers.
Only way to score points is by either killing the jedi or as a jedi killing other foos.
Its a hard gamemode but its FUN as hell.
