Okay everyone download this in-game movie of Oblivion Lost @FilePlanet (http://www.fileplanet.com/index.asp?section=645&file=86623). Okay I know its fileplanet but wait in line if you are a hardcore or not a hardcore FPS fan! Look at where the genre is going OMG this game looks sweet as hell. Unreal 2? Bah......weak...compared to this.

OMG! That looked sooooooo good. I can't believe so were in game graphics, very sweet.

Yep very true lol. I was in awe at the enviroments, characters and THE MOVEMENTS OMG! So realistic!

The wait dont bother me "too" ;) much

But the aiming thing was pretty cool.

But it's just another plain old shooter (unless there is a better story to that video).

Yeah pretty much any Engine Fully based off the GeForce3/4 will be exactly the same in functions and what it can and can't do. I wasn't talking about whether its good or not I just meant settle back and enjoy the bliss on the eyes w00t ;). I bet there is a story to it and your right that aiming system r0x3d!!! OMG how it zoomed and all was phat as hell!

BTW posthumous_GRIN is right. If you download anywhere from 9PM-10AM (even Noon to 1 or 2 somedays!) you will maybe wait in line not but 2-3 minutes if that. Still amazes me how 200 people x 5 servers are full 24/7 :eek:

FilePlanet have made everyone of you their *****, and sadly you accepted that fate.

The assholes realized how popular their website was for downloads, and had too much pressure on their servers from people attending it, so they were like: "what the heck, we already made a lot of money from ads, so if we limit the number of downloads permitted at a time, we wouldn't mind losing some customers as long as a healthy portion of them sign up for our fake personal server!".

Well now they're laughing their asses off on how people still came to their website, got fed up of waiting, and finally signed up for the imaginary personal server.

What would definitely shake them however is that all customers quit attending their website for good. That is the only way that will make them change their policy when they feel the risk of losing customer loyalty.

Personally, I've boycotted downloading from FilePlanet ever since they started that personal server crap, and now I always download videos and files from alternate websites.

I mean, after all I didn't wait for half an hour to download the video of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Oblivion Lost. I did it in two minutes off the website of the developers of that game. See, how easy that was!

Are there any alternatives to FilePlanet though? I am not happy with it TRUST ME! ;) But you are right I have grown to just deal with it and that took me about 6 months to do. Gamespy are whores plain and simple. I just dont like letting them get to me so I quit my b!tching about them. Keep it going brother these future net folk need someone to carry the torch for them to put down the lame *beepers* trying to screw us the ones who made them who they are! It just so happens could have been FileWhoreHouse.com if it had the same plan as FilePlanet.com. FilePlanet was just the first of its kind and they know it and are making us all pay for making them rich.

That video was amazing. I did download it form the game's website. I was still #245 in line at fileplanet when the one from their website finished :p. That game looked good, it hit me like the first time I saw Halo previews...hopefully it will actually come out sometime soon.

WOW!! Now that I've stopped drooling I can definately say that that game looks awesome. It's now on my list of games to get whenever it appears :)

Its there way of making money. There a company thats gotta pay employees man. If you could get it for free somewhere else, but you can't. You pay to see movies... now you pay for access to files.

LOL you should have seen it when the Half-Life 1.1.0.6 patch came out a year ago. I literally had to wait 48 hours before I could think about downloading it. The day it came out I was in line 7,3xx I just remember those two numbers. Two days later I was only in line 1,xxx it shocked me how many people there were. Just so everyone knows every 600 or so people is an hour.

I think you should seek alternative sites to download your stuff from, seriously it would be quicker and easier to search for a new site and get what you want than to have to wait in line at fileplanet.

Thats what I am looking for but currently there is no one that can compare to FilePlanet. 3DGamers is close but no cigar :(. But it works for now ;).

No its true LOL expecially with todays economy no one in this world but the millionaires can afford to pay all that bandwidth per month and make little off it from ads like FilePlanet did before it turned *beep*. Its a fact there isn't a site that is even close to FilePlanet right now but some are close.

How about finding a few half decent sites to d/l from instead of trying to find just the one all singing all dancing site that has everything you could ever want. The phrase "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket" springs to mind ;)
