I want to register a domain name www.whatever.com

I went to 2 sites but the prices to register were way diff.

http://namecheap.com $8.88

www.freeservers.com $35.00

Whats the diff?

Basically the prices vary because one service may offer more things such as web space to use for your domain name, etc. If you plan on purchasing hosting on your own, I would go with the cheaper one. After comparing the two, they seem kinda similar in what they offer. The best way to decide is to compare them and see what your needs are and make a decision from there.
