It was just a small (~ 14x12x14 interior)chest. I see them all the time and thought it would look good in the living room with a computer tucked into it.
Some more info on it and its use...
The mobo is mounted on the tray and lower frame of a cheap "maxtop" case that I hacked up to fit in the chest. The frame/tray/backplane slides in from the top and is screwed in place. The wiring, leds and power/reset switches from the maxtop case were reused in the chest.
I had some RF noise problems with it (anytime the HDD or CDs were accessed) initially that I solved by lining the inside of the case with sheet metal and grounding it to the PSU.
The back of the chest was cut to expose the i/o, card slots, 90mm exhaust fan (ducted to the HSF), and PSU.
The hole on the side is another 90mm (intake) fan.
The drive mounts on top hold a CDRW, DVDROM, 3 HDD, and a floppy.
After the pics above were taken I split and taped the IDE Cables and added some wire loom to the power cable so that it isn't as messy with the top up.
I use a (logitech) cordless mouse, keyboard, and gamepad with it.
Video runs to the TV and audio to the stereo (not 5.1 tho' :( ). Video and Audio Line IN is from the VCR (for the tuner). Needs more CPU power for real-time DIVX encodes at a good rez tho. For now I have to capture shows in MPEG2 and the convert over.
Anyways, it's fun to just play with and fast enough for games at lower rez. And the whole point was to have a decent "invisible" computer in the living room.

Computers are like bongs. Everyone's trying to make them out of everything.

uhh, yeah. and if you're really into that, you can make a bong cooling system. anyone remember those? the evaporative cooler, based off a bong? i gotta put one of those together.
