well, it's not really modded in terms of specs, but hey, i organized it alot, and it looks spanking cool! So far this Antec looks great :D

This is a shot of my whole PSU. Lol since my table's all glass, i had to use sheets of white paper to make all my power cables show up well :) yeaup, that's a 8k5a2 in the background :D

Here's another image of my PSU and what i did to all the cords. I actually got all this blue and black electrical tape and wrapped all the cables up (except for the P4 cables that i dont need). I finished it off by zip tieing the base of each set of power cables (with orange zip ties).

This took about half an hour to do since i was listenin to music at the same time :D it costs like 5 bux for a variety pack of electrical tape so this project was very cheap and effective.

Please post any comments or suggestions. Like it? dont? tell me!!! thanx everyone!! happy posting! :D

Me Like, its nice to get it organized before its in the case. To bad they don't make the cables snap on & off if you don't use them..

Nice job ;) . I like the dual fan design. Thinking of getting an Enermax w/ the same thing, plus manually adjustable fans :D .

that could quite possibly be the best idea i've heard in a long time for cleaning up wiring in a case...winder why the manufacturers haven't done something like that yet

Is that just black electrical tape that you used to cover up all the wires?

Hey, thinking about getting that psu or the Enermax EG465P-VE (FMA) that is 431 watts. What do you all suggest. The enermax has a better %v rail (44 amps, antec has 40 amps) and the Antec has a better 12V rail (24 amps, enermax has 20 amps). One of the plusses of the Enermax is the manual fan speed rheo stats on the back of it ;). Not sure if the Enermax has adjustable pots inside it (it is nice to have if I ever needed it to oc).

Here are the specs:

Antec True 550 (http://www.antec-inc.com/p_true550.html)

Enermax 431 watt (http://www.enermax.com.tw/products/switch-main.htm)

Edit: Nobody tell me to get a pp412x, I'm getting one when I buy an sx1040 for my second rig ;).

NM, I found the answer to my own question: Enermax EG456AX-VE (FMA).

Same 5V rail current as the one I mentioned before, but the 12v is 33 amps  .

Hmm, would that ok-hi pot sticker mean that is has potentiometer inside (I'm thinking yes, sparkle I had w/ pots had that same sticker). Not that I'd need to adjust them with current like that :D .

I ordered my Antec True 430w yesterday, and when I get it I'm thinking about doing the same thing with the wires (wrapping them in electrical tape), except using white or any possible color tape that will show UV light. I'm putting a black light in my atc-110 w/ window and i think that along with my glow-in-the-dark round ata cables + glowing power cables would look pretty dang sweet! :D

tYteaZzAzN whats your problem? Pudad asks a harmless question and you start being sarcastic. What are u jealous that he took some attention away from your taping job. I wont even call that a mod. I mean come on, all u did was put tape on. Not worth the pictures if u ask me.

since when was kidding around considered rude?? all i said was, thanks for posting any comments about my psu hehe. i didn't mean it to be MEAN or anything, i just thought it was kinda weird he didn't say ANYTHING about what this thread was about and just started askin which PSU was better, the enermax or the antec. I suggested that he takes his question elsewhere, like the cases and cooling section so his question can receive the correct attention there. His question doesn't really have much relevance towards modding, does it? o i'm sorry if my PSU mod isn't really considered a "mod", i just thought it was a neat way to organize a PSU. i even said myself that it wasn't really considered a friggin mod.

i was just trying to share what i thought would be a helpful mod to organize your case.

and lastly, why would i make such a big deal of attention? i just wanted to share some helpful advice with people. it's not like i'm forcing everyone to look at this mod or anything. it's just advice sheesh  what's YOUR problem captain hook?

Nicely said, Hook seems to be the one with the problem, lol.

And yeah, thats a good Idea... I might do that, I rounded all of my IDE cables the same way, just seperated all the wires, and then bunched em up, and put electrical tape around em, then put those little... 'zip ties' around the bases to keep the tape from coming lose, works great :)

I took mine, cut all the wires, and then soldered back on the plugs. Wish I could show you all some pics. It looks really good, I used heat shrink and everything. I routed the wires down the back of the mobo, you can't even see them.
