Big Blue Monitor PICS

Hey all, here is the next update with Big Blue. The monitor is complete. It didn't turn out perfect but it looks pretty good. There are a couple of minor flaws & I will point them out. First the Power Button and Control Panel, seemed some of the paint pulled off whe I opened it. I touched it up a little. Second The Center Top of the Front Looks like a small smear. I also used a Sharpy Marker where the two pieces connect back together. Well Hell here's the Monitor.. Let me know what ya think..

Thanx all, the color was picked by my wife and its her favorite. I think she did OK on the color cause I was looking at a darker shade. My Speakers are Black and I was thinking about it but I decided not to. I think Big blue is done for now. I will go back to modding my Lian and playing with the insides of Big Blue. That Antec TrueBlue 480 is looking sweet and a few Blue-LED Fans might be the next thing. Oh Yea I saw some Vantec Tornado's at a local Highway Robbery (Computer) Store for 35, I laughed at them on the price. Seems I can't find any Local Modding Shops everything is Online. If anyone knows of any good Shops in the DC area send me a PM. Those Ma & Pa Shops are hard to find. :) :)

Get yourself a rotary sander, a lot of primer, paint and clearcoat, and go nuts :D

VERY nice, TAZTG, I've always liked what you do with your cases. I envy how clean they come out, too.

I'm hoping I can compare when I'm done with my Minion 806. It should be done soon, too. Maybe I should paint my cd-drive cover and HDD cooler cover? I do have chrome spray-paint, to match my case's face. :D

Edit: PM me if you can tell me how to get the face plate off the CD-drive. :)

You can get most of the info from my site. Here's even a shorter version.
Bought the supplies, Dupli-Color Bahama Blue etc....
Wet Sanded, Primer, Wet Sanded, Primer, Wet Sanded, Paint, WS, Paint, Wet Sand, Paint. Now here's where I did something different. For all the Plastic Parts I put Clear Coat on 2 layers. For the Case Sides & Top I used rubbing compound to buff it out and then glaze to make it shine no clear coat was used on these pieces.

Mouse, Keyboard, Scanner, Monitor--Light Wet Sand, Primed it real good 2 coats, 2 coats of paint, 2 coats of clear coat.
