I'm looking to power an LED from a plug that you'd normally plug a fan into... a 3-pin CPU or case fan. Does anyone have any idea as to how this might be done, or even better... has anyone actually done it?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

you could get by with putting a 1K resistor in series with the 12v on a standard LED..
