Okay, today i got an idea of what to do with my main computer fan. I figured id see if could switch the power polarities on the fan therefore changing the direction the fan pulls/blows air(this way i can choose weather i want it to pull in cold air or suck out the hot:D). When i thought about how to wire the fan into a switch that could switch the polarities i was at a blank (even though ive done stuff like this on a smaller scale) also i thought i could put a "dimmer" switch on and use it as a speed control for the fan.
Has anyone done this before? can it be done with parts from radio shack? (once again, im too cheap to order from all electronics:rolleyes: )
Please reply if you have any ideas or ways to set up the switches and stuff.
Thanks,

"Fred":cool:

Unfortunately you can't change the direction of rotation with a polarity change with a brushless fan.. You'll have to unscrew it and flip it over ;)

But you never answered my other question... can i attach a dimmer switch to make it go slower/faster? if so, could you tell me a place i could find and buy them (radio shack??)
