a good fan shroud material?

I'm going to be putting together a watercooled system soon. I have a Black Ice Extreme Rad. and a 120mm fan. I'm looking for something to extend the fan so it's not right next to the rad. I've read that it makes for a quieter setup that way.

any ideas on materials to use? I walked aimlessy around home depot today but nothing jumped out at me :D

are you looking to extend the fan with a homemade piece or are you looking to buy something

i used cardboard and duct tape, worked damn well.

well, I'm looking to extend the fan about 2" from the rad. just a straight extension, w/ no angles. The fan and rad opening are the same size. I was thinking about cardboard but I would like something more insulative to keep the wind noise down.
