Well not that I care that much about Duke Nukem Forever but I thought this was pretty funny. Over at www.shacknews.com they have an update from George Broussard:
Work @ 3D Realms [04:19 pm] 41 Comments
George Broussard from over at 3D Realms updated his .plan file, as they are looking for a few more "environmental artists" to work on Duke Nukem Forever. "We're looking for artists that can take a basic shell of a level and detail it out with geometry that you will build and texture." More info here.
Seems to me that they should be a little farther along than just starting to detail empty shells of levels. Its just become a pretty pathetic saga.

Don't hold your breath the game is never coming out, hence the title DNF (Did Not Finish). If by some miracles it DID come out it'd be the Daikatana of 2002/2003

I remember when it was using the half Life engine, than the UT engine. So what is it using now?

It's supposedly using the UT Engine (or just plain unreal, i dunno, read the FAQ) with "modified update snippets" from Epic.
They should retitle it "Duke Nukem Never".

Actually I heard that their contract with Epic entitles them to any modifications to the engine, for example they are also lisenced to use the UT2k3 engine. So we shouldnt judge the game as of now, although since they are taking forever, I think they are constantly working with newer engines to keep up with what the graphics and physics of newer released games. IMO, the game would be great if it were to ever be released.

Haha yeah. Check out the 98' E3 video of it.

Could you believe that that looked amazing at the time? :o
That said, even those "new" screenshots that have been up for some time are dated, and 3DR said that they don't do the game justice as it is. Of course we have no proof of this and we probably ... never will. WID!
