Im looking to get a PDA for taking notes and general calendar organization. I do not know anything about them at all so im wondering which is the best for around $200. It needs to have color and the ability to interact with a computer and also games would be good too but not necessary. Anyone know a good one for about that price or know of a coupon deal that would be good?

www.bargainpda.com lists current rebates, coupon codes, deals etc to be found on PDAs.

Are you going to synch with a PC or a Mac?

I can only speak from PC experience. So here are my thoughts and quickpicks:

Dell Axim 5 (http://www.dell.com/us/en/gen/topics/segtopic_axim.htm) for $199. very nice color screen, and has CF I/II slot and SD/MMC slot. Nice expandability. You can read more about it there.

That's my $200 PPC pick.

Now for My Palm OS $200 pick:

SonyStyle clearance center (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_BrowseCatalog-Start;sid=gA_as2OLsMraoF51lWbQuCyaT3pe9gnPoUs=?Dept=hp&CatalogCategoryID=COAKC0%2eN424AAADystDA1ReJ)

I would recommend that T615C. The only thing wrong with it is the buttons are awkward, so that might interfere with game playing.

Color comes with a price, and I would suggest staying away from Palm brand color PDAs, because their resolution is only 160x160 (except the new Tungsten), and the Sony PDAs are 320x320 or better ;)

I'll leave you with a couple of more links to explain Palm OS and Pocket PC, because that is always a hot topic like Intel vs. AMD :) LOL

A great article about PocketPC 2002 features (http://www.pdabuzz.com/Features/PPC2002/)

PalmSource's Palm OS feature listing (http://www.palmsource.com/palmos/features.html)

And once you have narrowed your search down to some models, then read some reviews on them :)

Good Luck!
