If you like BF 1942, then you MUST get the Desert Combat Mod. It is absolutely amazing! All modern weapons and equipment. A real reat to play.

There are about 80 or so, if you install the mod then set the filter to show desert combat games only. I'm getting my server here in my dorm room up and when I do I'm going to run a Stalingrad and Berlin server, I'll post the IP here when it is ready. My favorite map for this MOD is by far Stalingrad. Is it pretty easy to switch from regular bf1942 and vice versa? It doesnt just takeover the original does it? >_>

No, it doesn't take over bf1942 just runs like other mods do, on top of the game.

So far its just new vehicles and weapons, I think it is very well done, a few gliches here and there but its only .2 so I can bear :) Very well done so far

Is it just me or are there like no low ping servers with people on em? Seemed like there was a few when i first got the All Seeing eye

I absolutely agree. Everyone with BF has to get this mod. If you don't, you a sucka!:p I love the F-16's! BTW what are the maps that DC supports cuz I know not all of them support DC. The only ones I've played are Bocage and Gazala.

the download says choose the root of bf1942 folder how do ikow whichis the root?

I finally played this mod, and it is insane. My team had a chopper over our base for half the game nuking everything. After we finnally killed it, an F-16 would mangle all the tanks. I did finally get a chance to hop in some of the vehicles later on. They are super powerful and accurate. You don't have to lead your targets like in the original.
