Not a hard question. I don't want to use regular paint if there is something better. What type of paint do you all use? I thought vinyl dye might be good but I'm not sure. I'm painting them blue. Thanks.

Korndogg 01-18-2003, 03:08 PM i've heard about vinyl dye a couple of times lately on this board... but never anywhere else before... what is it? number1sixerfan 01-18-2003, 03:33 PM Originally posted by Korndogg i've heard about vinyl dye a couple of times lately on this board... but never anywhere else before... what is it? Read this (http://www.gideontech.com/guides/vinyldye/) Vinyle dye is great for coloring cases because when finished properly, it looks like the case was originally the color you painted it. Korndogg 01-18-2003, 03:38 PM nice, thanks GLScooby 01-18-2003, 03:57 PM Someone mentioned this stuff (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=7844) in another thread. number1sixerfan 01-18-2003, 04:35 PM I think I'm just gonna wipe the fan grills off with lacquer thinner or acetone and then use blue vinyl dye on them. If anyone can think of something different I'm open to suggestions. Freakish 01-18-2003, 06:27 PM guys, vinyl dye is for PLASTIC, anything else isn't that great of an idea but it sometimes works ive heard. Use vinyl dye for PLASTIC number1sixerfan 01-18-2003, 06:40 PM I know it's for plastic but I don't really see the big deal because there just fan grills. What should I use? Mrfreddio55 01-18-2003, 06:42 PM Where are the fan grilles located? Or are they the metal add on ones... If so, then id just use spray paint, or if you wanted you could hand paint them with some Testor's paint (wal mart) Gary UT 01-18-2003, 06:50 PM Originally posted by number1sixerfan What should I use? Thanks John pwain 01-22-2003, 10:07 PM Though I dont recomend it, regular spray paint will work, if lightly apllied throughout many coats. I think Dupli Color Metalcast would be the can to use, but I think it only comes in 4 colors? (black, yellow, red, blue) number1sixerfan 01-22-2003, 10:23 PM Originally posted by pwain Though I dont recomend it, regular spray paint will work, if lightly apllied throughout many coats.
