hey all
finally got my lights and stuff a few days ago... here are a couple of pics. they don't do it any justice though, as this is a crappy camera. the water really looks like a real bright cartoon-acid green :p i just used a highlighter to color it... it glows under the lights real well.

yeah, that's right... jammed 2 radiators in there... hehe

i've got 3 lights in there... a UV and blue in the bottom, and a blue in the top.
also, i got a double order, that's why i have 3 lights (one was blown). heh. figured why not waste the free stuff though :D
also, on a side note... does that 12" woofer look a bit too close to my flatscreen monitor? i've had trouble with this monitor ever since i got it... it turns pink often. i don't think the speaker is close enough, but i just thought i'd ask. the center of it is about 15" from the back of the monitor.

the CPU surface is usually ~92ºF (33ºC) with my TbredA @ 1.8Vcore. ambient is probably 65-58ºF (20ºC), but i don't know for sure because i don't have a thermometer in here....
seems a bit warm to me... but i havn't been able to do anything about it.

hehe, me too
and yes, i like the fan bus. 4 pin power in, 4x3pin power out. up to 8 watts per channel.. adjustable from 7-12v output. i've only had it for a couple of days, but i havn't had any problems with it yet.

Great thx. I was choosing between this and the new vantec one, but this will do the trick, cheaper too!

it's rated at 8 watts per channel... but i just realized that i have like 8.4 on one of them
that sound bad for it? heh
i think i'm just worrying about my new parts... but i figured i might as well ask :p

it's a cheiftec... full tower, not the ones that are usually 'called' fulltower... heh. a full tower cheiftec has 6 5.25" bays. the best place i've found for prices on cases is directron.com. huge selection, cheap prices.

damn, netfirms is down... (that's where my images are hosted)
hope that won't last long. anyway... that's not what i wanted to say..
i justed used channel 1 of that fan bus for the first time, and it stays at 12v!!! AHHH!!! piss me off...
anyone... have any suggestions? heh... i'm doubtful anyone has anything to say except "that sucks" or "send it back"... but i just thought i'd ask. heh.
and no, i havn't taken it apart to examine it yet, because it'll be a BIG pain in the a$s
