...does it really look as good in person as in the pics?
i was thinking about selling off some of my stuf and making a 100% black rig.
is it really all that nice looking?
(black, with appropriate window and case accents)
is it worth it?
everything except my altec lansings and my dsl modem is white/grey

It looks pretty good. I love how my green pc accents all the black peripheals. All these things are black: monitor, speakers, mousepad, and keyboard. The one thing that has to be black for me, is the monitor. I can't stand ugly beige/white monitors.
Black and green all the way. :D

Yep. I love my jet black chiftec...looks awsome. One thing though, is that it accumulates dust fairly easy, and since its white on black, it shows. But its ok, just clean it occasionaly and thats it.

My case (http://slonik.homestead.com/files/caseside.jpg) is all black, and as you can see in the pic dust is very obvious, and with a black case you must stealth the drives.
So yeah, it would be cool. All black.

Not always. With Lian Lis and other premire cases, yea, but with my chiftec, 1) it has a door, 2) i rather like the contrast. Then again, my drives are more white than beige.

ok heres a question.
i just won an auction on ebay for an internal magneto optical disc drive.
now, i know i'm not going to find any custom black face plates for it, so how hard is it to pulll off the factory plate and what should i use to make it black? i just want all the black to be consistant.
Li-Lian PC71-B I love it, got a black screen to match it. Looks mad with the UV dye in the watercooler :D
