Which card would be best choice:
ATI Mobility radeon 64 mb (old one,not 7500) or GeForce 420 Go 16 mb?
Please help me out!

what do u do on it? If your agamer definatly the Radeon if not, Go with the geforce and it will save u some $$$. DVD playback and suuch won't differ between the two cards.

I'm planning to use the laptop mainly for internet and writing. Anyhow, it's always nice to relax with some gaming. I'm using an old riva tnt2 ultra card on my desktop computer and I'm satisfied as long as I can play games running on that machine on my laptop.

I thought the original Radeon Mobility beat the Geforce2 go card, and the entire GF4 go series was over all better than the original Radeon Mobility. (Makes sense). The Geforce 420 go is still part of the GF4 family.

Even with as little as 16 mb of memory the Geforce 420 is recommended?

coolqf, I could see where you are coming from if it was a GeForce4 460 Go. Sounds like I've read that argument in Maximum PC somewhere.

Cadium, the 420 will suit your basic needs but with 16mb, it will not last you to long. If you had to pick between one or the other, I would go with the Radeon Mobility just because of its memory size of 64mb.
