I just downloaded the 170mb trial version and installed it. There is a 30day or something time limit. Besides the time limit, are all the features enabled in this trial version? (is the trial version the same as the full version)

Hi there.
The trial does not come with the VCL source, so you may not be able to install any 3rd party components. That's an if, I have used BCB6 but not the trial. Also you won't be able to apply any new C++Builder6 patches that are released by Borland. And another legal issue is you can't in any form distribute your application, shareware or freeware. The BCB6 standard version does allow freeware distribution but not commerciall(things you can make money from). For serious development you at least would need the Pro. edition.
Also we BCBers are hoping to C++Builder7 to be released soon ;) I think a few more months to wait, this has been one of the longest waits till the next major version, seeing Borland is so busy with C#Builder and Delphi for dot net. Even if you decide to buy BCB6 and you got it 60(or 90, don't know which for sure) days or less before BCB7 comes out , you can get a refund and get the newer version instead.
Hope this helps :)
