I've seen so many shiny cases, but damn not a single place on the web where theres a nice in depth explanation to the theory behind it and how its actually done, so can anyone give a link?? or explain a bit? oh and if you got a really nice shiny custom case pic, do post em!

I guess you really don't read to much when you look for info. How about the Second Sticky Thread Named How-To Guides. Did you even consider reading through them?? If you spend a little time searching you would have found your answer.

in that guide, that guy had to go through with sanding/priming/coating......what happens if u just want a quick job and just spray it directly? anyone ever try?

it'll work ok too, but you won't get a nice flat shiny surface...you'll still have some texture from the paint you'll be painting over, and a little from the spraypaint itself. if you wanna just give it a quick color job, wipe down what you wanna paint with alcohol to clean off any oils or dirt from your hands touching it, and then give it several light coats of paint.

One thing, CPU stands for Central Proscessing Unit, so its not really your comptuer :)

I don't understand why they get that mixed up.

Cuz salesman hammers in that concept to unsuspecting customers! :)
What you learn first will most likely stay with you.
And worse, stay with you forever, if you are a stubborn person.

Well he said "cpu CASE."
If you think about it... That's kind of correct. Your case houses your processor. :p

Why not just paint it...then spray it with some glossy clearcoat stuff, then it'll be shiny.
