how bright are the red cathode lights?

havent seen one of these before, but im
sure someone somewhere has done this,
as godsmack is really good and all, but
thinking about doing a Godsmack (http://www.godsmack.com) mod to my
case window, the fan is pretty much centered in
the window, so im gonna get some thick black paper,
paint the grill black, and use the fan as the center
of the symbol, and cut the paper ( might
use somthing different ) to make the things around it
and put some red cathodes behind it, unless they
would provide sufficient lighting for my entire house
then i guess id have to do something different

also, if they are too bright, would it look okay
if i would put thin white paper ( i love paper ) or
fabric across the window on the inside to reduce the
blinding effect? actually, i might do this anyways
to match the dull red on the front of their first cd.
