I just read this article on motor trend, the pics are very nice. I cant wait for it to be out. Here are some links

The scenes look better than the real pictures IMO. I hope it's for pc too (is it... cause I haven't read up on it), There haven't been that many great, customizable racing games in the world, atleast PC, I really hope GT4 breaks that pattern.

You've never heard of it? The Gran Turismo series has always been touted as the greatest racing series ever. Personally, I find it boring.

I have all 3 versions, and there is no comparision to other games. I think if this pics are for real, we will see the best racing car simulation of all time (I'm a fanboy of GT :D )

They or another magazine did the very similar article back when GT3 came out! The article made me want to get GT3!! Whee!!! :D

I think my problem is that I'm really not into cars... and I cant stand those 2 hour races!! I'm more of a Need for Speed fanboy, myself.
Also, with this being said, I'd like to add that I do, in fact, own all 3 GTs, and plan on buying the 4th one... Hey, I do think its fun for about a week!

These look amazing! It's like real life. I can't wait for it. I got all the series so far, and they are all great! I'm expecting a lot from this game.

Why do other companies even try to compete with Gran Turismo? No one else is even close in the racing game series. Gran Turismo is about 10 times better than any other game of it's kind. Those graphics are about the best i've ever seen, they are from the game right? Or are some them real? I can't tell =p, i mean, just look at it, could you tell if someone didnt tell you before hand?:

Amazing. I'll be ready to pick up this one when it comes out (when is that anyways?). I'm still trying to get a Logitech Driving Force wheel, but damn, they are still selling for high prices, and everyone seems to want one.

In the first link, the ones on the left are the real photos and the ones on the right are the game.

Still quite nice. Seems like all the pics are darker or something, maybe it's just the time of day in the game when they took them.

Thats a real life shot. If you check it out, the pics are comparing real life to the game.

Basically, every game out there should start cramming in photo textures like Max Payne 2 and GT.
Makes stuff look so nice without lots of polygons.
But then shaders does that too... jsut harder to program instead of just slapping a piece of texture on.
