I was at Wal-mart for some cd-r's and I noticed they now have HP laptops. They had one with the same specs as mine for around the same price, but the model # is different. It is an XT5366WM. Why is there no info on this anywhere, not even the HP site?

It is a normal practice for stores to have "private" models that are only available at that chain of stores. I've seen that practice in all kinds of electronics, home appliances, bedding and paint.

Thanks, I was going to be mad if Wal-Mart had something better than mine for the same price.

Sorry for the long delay in reply.

It was a 2.66Ghz P4 (Desktop chip I assume)
512mb
dvd/cd-rw
40GB Hdd
64mb Shared video.

They have some different ones now. I guess it all depends on your Wal-mart. It was $1148.00 before tax which seems like a great deal. Just a note. I returned my Hp. It ran hot as hell and the battery lasted 1.5 to 2 hours tops, (and that was surfing the web!!)

If you are not needing a high end system. I would get an older IBM off Ebay. I did just that two years ago for $450.00, and it worked great, and my father is still going to use it. The battery still runs for about 2.5 hours, and the Notebook is 5 years hold!!
