Battery life should be 4-7 hours! Hahahahahahahaha! ROFLMAO!
Y-y-you're kidding right?
Anyway, it depends, if you don't need to play games or play them too well, then you can find a nice Centrino at www.jetta.com with shared graphics which will probably be enough for you, if you need more graphics power than get their Centrino with a 9000 card and if you really want the best go for an HP nc8000, or if you can live with a 14" screen the nc6000, which both have 9600 cards inside. How much are you willing to spend on this laptop? If it's up to $3000 check out voodoo's M:855, with Athlon 64 cpu and 9600 graphics card. Anyway, hope that helps. And just so you know the best battery life out there is like 3 hours. I guess maybe you could put in 2 batteries and get 5-6? Not sure, unless you swap batteries every 3 hours. Other, laptops that are nice are IBM's 41p and R45(not sure) and gateway has one too. I wouldn't buy form gateway though, and I can't find the right stuff at ibm's site.

No problem on the reply, sorry if I made my point a little too clear;) I couldn't resist, lol. Anyway, as far as I can tell if it's shared it's gona be pretty bad unless they are making a mistake and what they're calling shared is really a 9000. I think I saw an HP laptop where it said Shared and wasn't but anyway, definetly go with the 9000 VC. Actually how much are you willing to spend? Gateway has a kick@$$ centrino laptop with a 9600 card for only $1600. That's about as good as it gets man:D But you can check out other ones, a Centrino will have the best battery life though, and you mind as well have one of the bes Centrino's out there. Of course if you wait you might see more Centrino's with 9600 cards and they might be better/cheaper. No telling, but for now I definetly recommend the Gateway M505.

M505? I don't see that on Gateway's website.

My only complaint about that system is the only WXGA option for screen resolution. Adding WSXGA+ and WUXGA would have been a nice options.

Yeah, the screen might not be too awesome but for what you're getting, it's one heck of a laptop!
