well someone posted the link http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/216810.asp that said the date for duke nukem forever to be relased was 4/14/2004 for 49.99, WITH A PRE ORDER BUTTON? DID ANYONE ACUTALLY PRE ORDER????:eek: :confused: and why?

Well, they can cancel preorders anytime.

I think you can preorder Half Life 2 also. I don't know. No strength to check.

Actually I heard they moved the release date up to 4/1/04.

:D

I figure if it doesn't come out by Christmas 2004, it won't be coming out at all.

Yeah, I pre-ordered HL2, but then cancelled it after I got all pissed off at Valve.

Anyways, you can always pre-order anything, I just wouldn't trust some random company. EB is a good place to pre-order. I pre-ordered GTA3 for the PC something like 5 months in advance when they said it was only going to be $35. I guess EB thought it was only going to sell for $35, so I saved some bucks there :) And free-shipping sometimes.

You know what I think the biggest scam would be for the gaming industry? Start up a store and feature all the games coming out within 6 months with a "Pre-Order" and never ship there game and just steal there money :).

What you suggest is basically robbery out in the open, so in otherwords, your setting up a dumbass shop, where you'll get busted in 3 seconds.

Even the DNF official website said the release date is nonsense. None has been announced or speculated.
