Not sure if notebook raiser is the right term... I want the top of the monitor raised to my eye level when I'm on a desk. Any portable desks that have this feature built in?

There are desks that does that.

But there are no "portable desks" that does that.

Best would be to check out your local Office Depot or something.

And if you can't find any, use a phone book :p

Oh, and if you are going to raise the notebook, make sure you've got a external keyboard standying by, otherwise, it'll be painful to type unleveled (very unhealthy).

And just FYI, monitors should be viewed below eye level.

Are you sure? Everything I've read says the top should be level with your eyes. I also have a habit of slouching my rounded back, it's bound to make it worse unless I raise it right?

Yeah, what you know is right.

And I guess I wasn't explicit enough :o

Anyhow, whatever is comfortable for you.
I tend to think the center is about 15 degrees below eye level.
But then you have to sit about 60cm away.
I think that's the "healthy" distance.

Does anybody use a desktop replacement everday and not raise the monitor level? Is this your only computer? Do you feel "ergonomically secure"?

I'm pretty sure dell makes this funky dock where the laptop is docked at a near 180 degree angle so the monitor is raised and the keyboard is pointing downward, so it doesnt take up much space.
