What to do with those AOL CD's...

Sick...I'll just stick to using the cases for storing CDs.


I liked the idea about how to bend the CDs by scoring it in the middle though.

Personally, I use them for cup coasters on my desk. I do have plans to make an AOL CD collage on one of my walls eventually.

I just thorw them into the garbage.
Maybe not as environmentally as building a case.
But I am just so tired.

Much better would be to sell them on E-bay. Haha, I cannot even beleive this. Go search for "AOL" and hundreds of things come up.

A guy I worked with collected them and turned them into a discoball. It worked pretty good too, but the ball got to be about 3 feet in diameter.

Talk about a butt ugly case.. I like the commercial on TV where they get the last CD for the AOL Fish Design on the wall.
I have been collecting all forms of free CD's over the years. I am not sure why but I have always imagined adding a CD border to the wall in my Computer Room. (Shiney Part Out) The only thing holding me back is an actual Computer Room (LOL).... :p

i started decorating my old bedroom (from when I was a kid) in freebie CDs and CD "coasters" I burned.

the different shades of blue, gold, and silver had a nice effect.

I never finished, and then all of them got trashed when the folks redecorated.

I throw away the cd's and keep the cases. On Halloween this year a friend of mine dressed up as a ninja and used the AOL CD's as Chinese stars.

You haven't seen it? A lady gets another aol cd and she uses it to complete an AOL mural on the wall. Then this guy says, "you might wanna think about using an old snoop dogg cd to complete that instead". Then snoop comes out and says, "now just wait one minizzle".

The point of the commercial was... even though you've got all those old AOL CDs that you don't want, the new version is one you should think about trying out instead of throwing it away. Probably a good approach since most people don't take getting them seriously anymore.

i absolutely hate it.. dialup pisses me off :mad:

edit: what sucks is i can't get cable until i move in february, and even when that happens i doubt i'll get cable right away :-/
