XP1800 12-20-2003, 07:29 PM Sorry if this was posted, but AOL should take note of this: Link (http://www.lanaddict.com/rev.php?ID=107&PAGE=1) speedstream5621 12-20-2003, 07:51 PM Sick...I'll just stick to using the cases for storing CDs. I liked the idea about how to bend the CDs by scoring it in the middle though. Ashpool 12-20-2003, 08:33 PM ...Use them for a shiny ceiling. XP1800 12-20-2003, 08:42 PM Originally posted by Ashpool ...Use them for a shiny ceiling. I remember seeing a picture somewhere where someone covered his wall with them. Sandro 12-20-2003, 09:14 PM Personally, I use them for cup coasters on my desk. I do have plans to make an AOL CD collage on one of my walls eventually. Terry 12-20-2003, 09:51 PM I don't have enough cups for the coasters. I just thorw them into the garbage. Maybe not as environmentally as building a case. But I am just so tired. That's an awesome case. It'll eBay well. thrawn86 12-21-2003, 12:02 AM frisbees! those things fly amazingly well. lonewolfroger 12-21-2003, 12:05 AM You could save a few of them and take them to the skeet range, pull.:D FunctionX 12-21-2003, 05:08 AM Originally posted by lonewolfroger You could save a few of them and take them to the skeet range, pull.:D Much better would be to sell them on E-bay. Haha, I cannot even beleive this. Go search for "AOL" and hundreds of things come up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3646511222&category=4291 RobsMob 12-21-2003, 09:59 AM A guy I worked with collected them and turned them into a discoball. It worked pretty good too, but the ball got to be about 3 feet in diameter. TAZTG 12-21-2003, 10:02 AM Talk about a butt ugly case.. I like the commercial on TV where they get the last CD for the AOL Fish Design on the wall. I have been collecting all forms of free CD's over the years. I am not sure why but I have always imagined adding a CD border to the wall in my Computer Room. (Shiney Part Out) The only thing holding me back is an actual Computer Room (LOL).... :p San7a 12-21-2003, 01:12 PM Just wait one minizzle. thrawn86 12-21-2003, 01:19 PM uh oh, what's he got in store for us this time :o PinchyCM 12-21-2003, 01:34 PM AOL makes me want to cry. I just throw mines in the trash. thebove 12-21-2003, 07:01 PM Originally posted by San7a Just wait one minizzle. hah...it's funny, it seems even AOL knows they have a disgusting amount of their cd's out there....funny commercial, although i have no idea why snoop dogg is in there  LaValva 12-22-2003, 11:16 AM Snoop is the hero of all working class families... Didn't you know? Seriously though, is their target market 13-18 year old kids now or what? I doubt it... .I guess the kids get their parents, bla bla. Snoop should die :D mellojoe 12-22-2003, 02:11 PM i started decorating my old bedroom (from when I was a kid) in freebie CDs and CD "coasters" I burned. the different shades of blue, gold, and silver had a nice effect. I never finished, and then all of them got trashed when the folks redecorated. JD7 12-23-2003, 12:01 PM I throw away the cd's and keep the cases. On Halloween this year a friend of mine dressed up as a ninja and used the AOL CD's as Chinese stars. mellojoe 12-23-2003, 07:57 PM Originally posted by JD7 I throw away the cd's and keep the cases. BoneThug$4Life 12-25-2003, 04:32 PM Make a big giant AOL CD fish like on that commercial. Terry 12-25-2003, 04:57 PM What's this commercial you guys are talking about? Got a link? number1sixerfan 12-25-2003, 05:10 PM Originally posted by Terry What's this commercial you guys are talking about? Got a link? You haven't seen it? A lady gets another aol cd and she uses it to complete an AOL mural on the wall. Then this guy says, "you might wanna think about using an old snoop dogg cd to complete that instead". Then snoop comes out and says, "now just wait one minizzle". Terry 12-25-2003, 05:20 PM So what's this commercial used for? lonewolfroger 12-25-2003, 05:21 PM Originally posted by Terry So what's this commercial used for? To get people to try out AOL. Terry 12-25-2003, 06:17 PM So AOL actually made a commercial saying th've got too many useless CDs? How did THAT ever get by the marketing dept? medunaweb 12-27-2003, 06:50 PM there is only one thing you can do with aol CDs and feel good about it too. www.nomoreaolcds.com and soon to come www.stopaol.com I know who bought the stopaol.com and they are working with nomoreaolcds.com for their goal of 1M cds. do your part send them on in :) -------------------------------------- CDs Collected So far: 253,135 CDs To Go: 746,865 Biggest ContributeRhino: Postal Gallery Abner's mood: Sporty Last Updated: 11/17/2003 -------------------------------------- Vaggeto2k 12-28-2003, 08:36 PM The point of the commercial was... even though you've got all those old AOL CDs that you don't want, the new version is one you should think about trying out instead of throwing it away. Probably a good approach since most people don't take getting them seriously anymore. |_053|2 01-03-2004, 04:15 AM Originally posted by PinchyCM AOL makes me want to cry. Big crocodile tears. FunctionX 01-09-2004, 05:49 AM Originally posted by VoiceOfReason They make excellent Christmas gifts. Now there is an idea!
