Estimated Shipping dates With DELL

I just ordered a Latitude D500 Laptop, and they gave me an estimated ship date of 1/13/04, What are your experiances of Ordering from dell? Are they usually accurate with there dates, or way off?

everything ive ordered from them recently has shippend and arrived significantly earlier than their estimated times. Their tracking system isnt always up to date though, both the computers I ordered last month were here by the time they said they had shipped.

I ordered on the 16th of December, and it said the ship date was the same as yours. I got it in 3 days. :eek:

For me it's around one or 2 days of their original ship date.
And as doctor15 said, the online tracking system is not accurate, and it doesn't provide too much information.

Best is to call up Dell, I did that several times and got different answers from online info.

My family has ordered a pc and a laptop recently. And both came well before the ship date. Though like the others said, the online tracking is poor. I got my laptop before the online tracking number was even provided. But I was impressed with the shipping time, especially around this time of year.
