The Shattered Web (http://www.shatteredweb.com/index.shtml) is the place to go for custom appliques.

Terry does a great job on original work. Check out this thread for how he made a custom applique out of a freehand drawing by DS.

You can apply it to the bezel. If you have alot of texture, you may want to sand it lightly first. Check the pics gally at Shattered Web. There are plenty of folks putting them in places other than windows:

Shattered Web Pic Gallery (http://www.shatteredweb.com/case_pics/index.htm)

Here's the FAQ which tells you the colors available.

Terry is a lurker at the forums here. Shoot him an email from the site to get more info if you've got more questions. You can't go wrong with a Resellerrating like this one:

I'm glad you're getting something out of the threads here. I learn something new every day I visit (and I visit every day!) from old timers and newbies too!

i will do a work log, but i really won't start working on the case till i actually buy the case.

i saw one case that i liked but it cost too much, it was like $150.00 or something like that.
hey maybe you guys can help me with getting a case? i want one with a door thingy in the front. it has to cover the whole thing not just the drives does anybody know of such case for a cheap price.

what i will start a work log on is the case i will be practicing on.
take a guess what case that is.................ok ok i will tell you its an old maxtor clientpro case yes people you heard right its the case in which the side panels are plastic yes plastic.

by the way can anybody tell me all the tools i might need to purchase since i have none at home. i already know i need a dremel and a couple of cutters i saw this at home depot (http://www.homedepot.com/prel80HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?frmSearchStr=dremel&cameFromSearch=false&CNTTYPE=PROD_META&Category=Power+Tools+%7c+Accessories+%7c+Rotary+Tool+Bits+%2 6%2338%3b+Accessories&sortOrder=priceDesc&MID=9876&com.broadvision.session.new=Yes&CNTKEY=misc%2fsearchResults.jsp&oldSearch=dremel&renderer=categoryResults)

im also buying some paint don't know what color yet but oh well. and a plexi glass, anybody know where i can buy that at? im also getting some files and what else?

edit: fixed link
edit again: ok for some reason the link don't want to work but its the first one it cost $99.99

kind of unrelated, but i'm also looking for a custom sticker/decal site
not really interested in appliques, more full color stickers/decals
does shattered web do those?

I think they are pretty much single color. You can email Terry and ask though. I googled and found this place called Stickerthing.com (http://www.Stickerthing.com).

Here is their gallery:

Stickerthing Portfolio (http://www.stickerthing.com/portfolio.htm)

Warning: Make sure the kids aren't around when checking this site. The gallery has a little nekkidity.

Looks like they do full color and photo quality. Don't know anything about them though, I just googled "full color custom stickers" and they were first.

(BTW, Andy, you gotta get us an update! You're about to become page 2 news! We need our Link fix!)
