I'm familiar with C/C++. I don't want to get into .NET just yet, probably MFC, but I would like to do more than file i/o. I have Visual Studio 6.0 and .NET (college is awesome) and I know the MSDN is supposed to have all the documentation you need. But I learn better from books.
Books are good resources, but I learn more using google :D
What language did you want to learn more about??

Well C++ is my strong point, I suppose. Should I go with a "Teach yourself MFC in 24 hours" kind of thing? Or are there better resources out there?

Teach yourself <anything> in 24 hours is generally a bad idea. Do a search on amazon or something for a book on MFC. Be sure to pick the right one... not a boring thing that will put you to sleep and effectively null your motivation to learn it ;)
