Baldur's Gate 2- Black screen

Ok, the menu comes up fine. I hit PLAY and then I'm at a Black Screen. When I move the cursor, I can see the screen fine UNDER the cursor, but everything else is black.

Anyone know a fix?

Try patching. If you're running WinXP, try running in compatability mode. Try running the game in completely software-rendered mode.
