I'm typing from it right now.

For some reason lines of keys on my keyboard would go out, apparently thats common for the keyboard to die on a Dell CPxH laptop (old school 500Mhz PIII, 14.1inch, 128MB, 12GB).

So I decided to pop it open and try and see if I could get the keyboard working. It appears to be working okay now, but it does work okay from time to time, we'll see what happens.

too bad my battery can't hold a charge :p

I'll have pics of it later.

i thought you replaced the keyboard on that? you could probably find a replacement battery on ebay (though you probably already knew that :p).

Nope, never got around to replacing the keyboard. If keys quit working on me again, then i'll say screw it and get a new keyboard.

I updated the bios from AO3 to A14 (so 11 bios updates) a lot of which delt with battery charging issues, so I'll see if that helps on the battery or not.

I foudn a bunch of replacement batteries, but considering i leave my laptop plugged in for the most part I don't know if I want to spend $60-$70 on a new battery.

Considering the age of that thing, your battery's probably a goner. Typical battery life for a lot of laptop models is 1-3 years under moderate use.

yeah i wouldn't be suprised if it was gone, the only thing that suprised me was that i got about an hour and a half out of it when i tested it when I first got it, and basically haven't used the battery at all, but now it'll give me like 15 minutes-1/2 hour when I test to see how long it lasts.

Oh well, don't need it anyway.
