Hello

I am thinking about buying a siemens amilo a 3400 64bit laptop.
does anyone have one? are siemens machines good?
The display is a tft wxga 1280 X 800, do you think this is good enough, or will the res be too low, i want it for playing games and watching films and photos:

Please let me know

cheers

That'll be good for playing games, I usually play at that resolution if the game has widescreen modes in it. I haven't used the lappy, so can't comment on power consumption, durability or anything. The A64 is a definite plus, and given that it has RAM up to 1GB and a good graphics card (9600 pro mobile or 9700 mobile) it will play games real well.

If the lowish resolution doesn't bother you (It's not horrible, but I prefer my 1680x1050), it's a good lappy.

i am not sure of the res, i am used to playing games on my home pc with massive res, i hope it will not effect me. i was looking at a dell or a sony, they have very good screens, but no 64bit and very expensive

Don't get a sony...i've got a horror story with one...they're pieces of poo. I got a dell right now myself, it's ok, not great though.

This is worth a check: http://www.eurocom.ca/products/showroom/specselectnew.cfm?model_id=126
