The last blue cathode light I had for my PC didn't last long. Actually it ended up lasting for maybe a month. My PC started to fill with smoke and the entire house started to smell very bad.

After quickly turning off my PSU I investigated what was wrong and it was indeed a bad cathode light (or its molex connecter perhaps failed).

Anyways I need a good recomendation of where to find and perhaps purchase a good, stable, and long lasting cathode light for the floor of my PC case.

The last light I had was probably the length of about 4-6 inches.

I had some 12" UV's from FrozenCPU that worked fine (except I dropped one and KOed it). Here's the 4 inch version. (http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/scan/se=Lighting/se=Cold%20Cathode%20Kits%204in/mp=menu_search.html)

I'd imagine any of these (http://www.xoxide.com/coldcathodes.html) would be fine as well.

i was looking at the 12inch versions of the lights spry recommended from frozencpu. the review made me want to buy it, but i didnt like the switch, cuz i cant think of a place to put it. and i dont feel like leaving it dangling or drilling a hole in my case as i'm inexperienced.

i also looked at the other ones he gave a link to, and the price is great, but i couldnt find a review, so i dont trust em that much.

i'm looking for a pair of purple 12inch uv cold cathode lights. if anyone could help me out, or if anyone thinks the ones spry posted are good, please post.

i want purple cuz i'm gonna have blue uv sleeving and green led fans, and i want all 3 cool colors in my case. :)

I have had no problems with the SVC CCFL lights I have used.

SVC 12" kits (http://www.svc.com/v12inch2ccflkits.html)

As far as switches go you can extend the wire and mount any switch you want, wherever you want it.
