Linkage (http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3134032)
It sounds like he has a good idea, but this part bothered me a little bit:
We'd also like to create different control structures -- not to make it arcadey, but to include things like hotkeys for feats that will make regular encounters less of a hassle to deal with. That might sound more arcadey to people, but I think it'll help let those features be used by more people, now that it's not buried somewhere in the interface. I played through most of Hordes and Undrentide as a monk, and there were a lot of monk things I couldn't be bothered doing because it was a pause-and-click process -- particularly in multiplayer, which is a big part of Neverwinter.
I hope that they're not going real time with this...

Ya i wouldnt like real time, but a bit more interactivity in fighting would go a long way. The new PCGamer that came a week ago is all about D&D and does have a full page Q&A about NWN2 (and baldurs gate 3, and D&D online) so if your not a subscriber you might wanna pick this one up.

Thanks for the heads-up, will do...
For fans of D&D or D&D CRPGS, check Gamespy's (www.gamespy.com) series on the history of both D&D and a seaprate history of D&D computer games. Pretty cool.

Funny thats the same thing PCGamer has. History and timeline to commemmerate D&Ds 30th anniversary. Few preview of upcoming games, NWN2, BG3, D&D Online, and this other game that I cant remember the name but looks sweet as hell too. Also has some mod reviews for BG2, NWN, and IWD.

BG3? I thought Black Isle went belly-up.
Not that it neccessarily spells doom for a game's sequel, but you wouldn't bet on Apple continuing Gates' work if M$ went out of business would ya?

BG3 is in development by another company. I cant think of the name for the life of me tho. Once i get home from work ill look it up and post the name. I wanna say its being published by Atari tho, and uses an engine similar to Biowares new engine (for their new Dragon Age game or whatever its called)
edit: Ok the publisher hasnt been announced but Atari is working closely with them. Engine hasnt been announced yet, could be an existing engine, a new engine, or possibly Biowares Dragon Age engine. No release date yet. And the other kickass game I couldnt think of the name is called Dragonshard. Looks really sweet.
