Just a heads up. I'm salivating for this game... and it's the main reason I upgraded my rig. I can't wait :D

Also, I'm surprised how low these are. I probably didn't have to toss my Ti4200 for a 9800pro...

Fileplanet will have it according to the article. Now if it's only available to subscribers I'm gonna go on a muderous rampage

A windows compatible keyboard!? Damnit, I'm screwed! What are they thinking!?
THis game looks damn cool, like american conquest mixed with AOE and graphical interface/controls of Ground Control or Warrior Kings.

...or...maybe....like the last 2 Total War games, except with more depth and infinetly better graphics? ;)
I was in Gamestop today and asked when it was going to be released. I was told the 23rd, and if i preordered they'd give me the demo. I should've done it!:(

Pre-ordered from Gamestop today. You only get the DVD and no demo. DVD does have a nice intro movie for the game though. Maybe they will have a demo disc Monday.

Did you pre-order, or is it on file planet? I was just there and I didn't see it.

Got it from Total War Center. I've played the tutorial and I can already say that I'm thoroughly impressed. When you zoom in it's just like all the videos you see online. Make sure you turn on desynchronous movement under video options otherwise everyone will move in unison. :D Gotta go back to playing the main battle now.

Here it is from "total war center". I don't know why they make you download the html file and then make you click on the link.
Here's the DIRECT link! (166mb)

Damnit! This game is scheduled to be released about a week after Fable! I won't have enough for two $50 games within a week of each other.
Decisions, decisions...:(

After playing the demo...this game is pretty sweet. It's like Warcraft without all the macro management and it runs pretty well on my aging P3 system.:)

That demo is very fun. The camera did stutter a bit when I whent into the 'chase' mode, other than that the game rocks. Elephants are cool! :)

I was pretty disappointed with the demo. A tutorial and one very small canned scenario... total of about 15-20 minutes worth of content, with no replay value. And there was no sniff of the strategy portion of the game.
A limited multiplayer mode (one battle... 2 nations... 8-10 unit choices per side), or a couple more small battles would have been nice.
The game looks great.. don't get me wrong there. But I thought the demo was very disappointing.

This was a great demo that does leave you wanting the rest of the game. Try playing on the harder level settings for some real fun. If I could only keep the elephants from panicking I would dominate.

So true. I actually had one battle where the elephants behaved and I wiped the floor with the Romans... I only lost ~140 men.

Yeah, it's fun when they turn tail and trample your own guys. That tends to demoralize the troops a bit.
