First post here on these forums. My buddy is idioteQnology and directed me here. Have been browsing around viewing topics and such. I'm hoping to get your guys opinion on my build I'm making.

Mobo - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-130-468&depa=1

Chip - http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-463&depa=1

Ram - I'm torn between these 2. I've heard good things about both, one is much cheaper though. Your thoughts.

Video card - http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/product.asp?dept%5Fid=124&pid=9820&sid=D7UNUCDSB0S49LWCLCE2KPBUEQHS01S1#

Case and Power supply - Friend reccomended both of these things. I currently have a Chieftec large case but the problem is it doesn't sit well in my desk, so I was looking at a mid-towercase. I preferably want some nice cooling in it and also a window on the side to give colored fans a nice touch. The power supply doesn't look like its going to fit in the case. These are the 2 reccomended to me. I changed the power supply in my links to a thermaltake. Its between that or an enermax.

I'm open to some suggestions on anything as far as case/ram/and power supply goes. I'm pretty set on mobo video card and chip. Overclocking isn't really my thing so don't take that into consideration. I appreciate your help in advance and I apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum.

A couple of things- Mobo and CPU look good, I think the vendor for your vid card is a little questionable if you look at resellerratings.com, because of their return problems, but, its up to you.... Case- pretty good case from what I've heard....but if your spending so much money to get all these high quality components, you might consider a high quality alumimun case like a coolermaster praetorian (I have) or something similar... PSU looks pretty good although ive heard Aspire isnt the greatest, maybe consider an OCZ powerstream or Antec or one of the newer Ultra-X connect modular PSU's? but again its up to you. and the ram-- ive heard the OCZ EB is Top Notch but since your not into overclocking it moght not even matter.... well im sure some other members can add their input...
I strongly recommend a better case though :)

Those case and PSU suggestions are good. The real bare requirement for the PSU is probably 22-24A on the +12V rail. Both your CPU and your videocard will suck up a lot of power, so this is good for security purposes. Some cheaper alternatives with this requirement are made by Enermax and Antec in the $80 range.

It's not all about watts!! All three of these have good +12v rails, and 2 of them even look cool.
